Default Covercraft Windshield Sun Shade

I just received my Covercraft sunshade from AutoAnything.com, and thought I'd share how it looks on my 2006 SC430. It was sort of pricey ($53), but it fits perfectly and is very heavy duty. I've never really used a windshield shade much - they were always pretty unsightly to me, but I really like this one. I like that I could order it in Gold to match my car... Looks more custom (which it really is).

I ordered one for my LS600hL also, and that one fits perfectly too. I'm not affiliated with Covercraft or AutoAnything.com, just enjoy this product and thought I'd share...

very cool, Do you work at the Bennie L. Davis Maintenance facility?
That is the old Mod B hanger, but now the fitness center in the background?
If I remember correctly, that hanger has a half mile padded running track. The thing about the track is it is indoor and in January, it sure makes a difference!

i was stationed there from1985-2000, mostly flying the E-4B...

Nebraska was an awesome assignment because of the people!!!

Yes I do! You have a keen eye for details! I've been at Offutt since '98. I run the supply operation from the Bennie Davis facility. Nice to hear from a fellow Offutt guy!

I remember when they built that facility...and also going for training at FTD, I guess now AETC...QA and running up there on a redball for parts when were preflighting an aircraft...

When I arrived with one stripe on each arm, Offutt AFB was still the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Headquarters...
Ahhh...such good memories of Offutt!

so glad you posted that picture of your car!!!

BTW, that is a really nice sun screen. Where did you pick it up? Amazon?
it looks like the fit is perfect!

Rick

I went to autoanything.com and checked out that sunscreen for the son's 2005 SC430 and it shows up at $59.99, did you get a discount or have a coupon?

Dennis, The shade was on sale for $53.99 when I ordered it. There was also a special additional sale going on. I tried to use the coupon code online, but the system wouldn’t allow it. So I called Autoanything directly, and the nice salesman said that he’d knock another $7 off, so I ended up paying $46 (and I ordered a second one for my LS600hL since the price was so good).

I just submitted an online review for the sunshade and Autoanything.com sent me a coupon code for $10 off (REVIEW10).

Feel free to use this code to see if you can get a discount online. If not, maybe just give them a call to see if they can offer you a discount like they did for me. Good luck!

One of my sisters still lives in Omaha and she says it is a real mess. Prayers go out to Rick and all the folks in NE and IA who are dealing with the flooding and loss of life.

Thanks for your thoughts and kind words, BGW and Dennis! My workplace at Offutt AFB (Bennie Davis Maintenance Facility) is still underwater, along with about a third of the base, and the whole area is still in shock from this 1,000 year flood! I was fortunate that my home wasn't affected, but many people who lived near the Missouri or Platte rivers weren't so fortunate. It's by far the worst natural disaster to ever hit Nebraska! But you guys know how tough us Nebraskans are, and we will simply bear down over the coming weeks and months to help each other out and to recover stronger than ever from this event.

Luckily my LS600hL and SC430 escaped the flood unharmed!!!

Ordered 2 of these. One for the LS and one for SC. They arrived today these are super nice and very well built. A little expensive but well worth the expensive for the quality. Going to order one for the son's SC

Thanks for the tip guys

Dennis, I enjoy these window shades for my LS600hL and my SC430! They have held up exceptionally well over the past year or two, and I use them constantly. For as much as we all love our cars, spending $50 to protect the interior from damaging sun seems like a small price to pay. And I love how easily they go up and down!

Rick

I was out the door delivered for $57 each. The nice lady at auto anything took off the shipping and knocked them from $68.00 down to $57 each.

Dennis

PS: are you back in your building yet? When's your retirement date?
