98 gs400 vs 06 Ls430
So my gs400 has 212k and I haven't don't a tranny flush but I don't think I need it. It shift so smooth even from reverse to drive or vice versa. On the other hand 06 ls430 105k and reverse to drive makes the car hop. I have to completely stop and then shift. Specially at a cold start. I know it's not good to shift quickly from reverse to drive without completely stopping but then again it happens specially if running late to work. Would a tranny flush help with these or is their something else I can do?

yeah you kinda do.
Read somewhere this is the single most abusive thing you can do to a tranny....not stopping fully when changing from reverse to drive. Fluid changes aren't going to help counteract any damages caused by this practice.

too bad there's no manual conversion....
at 105k not sure what the jury would say about a tranny flush, my edumacated guess is still possible unless the fluid is burnt...

I don't think a trans flush is going to help here. I did a flush at 114k and I could tell a slightly smoother shift but nothing major. On the flip side changing the fluid won't hurt. Hopefully it's not a damaged trans but not coming to a complete stop for reverse/drive doesn't help things at all. I don't think there is any auto trans designed that way. That's like saying I switch gears on a manual trans without really pushing in the clutch. Eventually those syncros are going to be gone.

You and I are on the say level here. Wish it was easier but not to say it hasn't been done. Check out this bad boy.
