Driver door sensor not working properly
I have the car stored but when I went to start it last week it was dead. Trickle charged the battery and noticed on the cluster my car said the door was open (it was not). I firmly closed it and it the indicator went off, check later and the light came back on. Anyone have this happen before? It's likely hardware and not something I can clear so any tips?

replace the sensor. Probably pretty easy opr just visit the dealership. Should be an easy fix . I have noticed when I unlock my car with the FOB it never unlocks the back door on the driver side. Need to bring it to their attention next time

If your battery died, a lot of things could act weird until you reset everything. I'd disconnect the battery again, then reset windows, sunroof, nav, etc. and then see if it is still acting up. It might be hardware, but given the circumstances, it might be software, and I'd bet on software before hardware simply because so much of the basic function of the car is handled by the BEAN (Body Electrical Area Network) and if the BEAN ECU isn't happy it could do all kinds of things to make the hardware appear to be faulty.

The door button / switch assembly is on the door jam by the b pillar.. Covered by a rubber protector..
Not far from where the lock loop plate sits..
Swap it out for one of the other ones to test the problem..
