fuse keep going out... (cig lighter)
HI all,
So long story short
I got few item hook up to my car
1. Blackvue dashcam with magic box, (1 front, 1 rear + parking power adapter)
2. V1 Radar Detector
3. 4.2amp dual USB charger.
with all those device combine it shouldn't draw too much power no? I am no electrician but my 15AMP fuse keep going out and its a hassle to replace them every now and then.
or is there something wrong with my car?

It might be the dashcam. You're powering a DVR + 2 cameras with one power source.
On top of that a radar detector and a phone charger.
How often does this happen? Every week or so? If so, I would disconnect the dash cam for however long the duration is before the fuse blows and see if that's the problem.

i noticed when i would just plug my phone charger to the cig lighter port i would blow my fuse for some odd reason, To prevent this for me, was to just plug everything into the center console port.

That might be too much amps for just one cig outlet. Have you tried wiring the direct to the fusebox with a add-a-fuse? or wiring the direct with a inline fuse?

the fuse blow after awhile if i have iPad and Samsung tablet plug in, so to avoid that i use a single USB 2.1A charger instead and it seems to be "ok"

i am still using my dash cam and V1 and ash tray cig lighter to charge phone, my center console lighter been out for 2 years now, could anyone tell me which fuse number it is? i always thought it is using the same fuze with the ash tray lighter but it didn't seems to fix the issue,
or is my center console connection loose?
Thanks in advance
