Sony S500 Complete Home Theater system NYC-NJ
Got my old DTS/Dolby Digital Sony HT system that was hooked up to ps2 via optical cable. Got this when the first "home theater in a box" came out and paid almost $500. Channel test was fine. Remote works. Played a hour long CD, no skipping. Despite total output of only 280 watts it can get pretty loud(never went past 25 on 40volume).
Bad things are - no HDMI(it IS from 2001
, no MP3 playback, one of the cube speakers mesh cover is stained(might wash off). Some buttons of remote have rubbed off from age. Some scratches on top of unit from storage.
Included - dvd player/amp main unit, 5 cube speakers, subwoofer, 6color coded speaker wires, remote, am + fm antennas, owners manual, some generic RCA cables and if i locate the optical cable you'll get it too.
I had this in closet for 3 years as my new setup is a Denon avr790 with Klipsch.
