Default FS Brand New Custom Sub Enclosure made for 2GS

I had this box custom made by a professional audio shop. It fits perfectly in the recessed trunk opening in the 2GS. Box is constructed using 3/4" MDF, has two seperate sealed chambers .75 cu ft. per chamber. Box is sealed using resin as opposed to caulking for better sound quality. Each cutout is for a 10" subwoofer, but you can make it larger to fit a twelve.

This box is Brand New, I went a different route for my sound system, so I didnt use this one.

Price SOLD!!

So the box sits on that little shelf area right behind the rear seats right?

He clearly states that the holes can be opened up to fit 12's.

Yes box fits inside the little shelf. Leaving access to the spare tire. And yes you can make the holes larger to fit 12s.

Just because you cut the hole larger to let 12" subs fit doesn't mean the box was made for 12"s. the Cubic ft is made for 10"s so the dimensions are different.

But good luck with the SAle

Have you seen the enclosure? Do you know what sub is going to be placed inside the enclosure? If the seller is saying that there is physically enough space for the diameter of a 12" sub to be cut into the face and he is telling you the volume is .75 cu. ft., why are you telling everyone that his box is meant for a 10 and not a 12?

Here are the specs for a Pioneer TS-SW1201S4, please tell me why that sub wouldn't work if what the seller is saying is true...
Details:

  • 12" 4-ohm shallow-mount subwoofer
  • interlaced basalt and carbon reinforced IMPP cone
  • 3-layer urethane and fiber-woven radial surround
  • cast aluminum basket
  • Air Suspension Control System eliminates traditional spider structure
  • power range: 50-400 watts RMS (1,500 watts peak power)
  • frequency response: 20-230 Hz
  • sensitivity: 93 dB
  • mounting depth: 3-3/16"
  • sealed box volume: 0.5-1.0 cubic feet
  • ported box volume: 0.65-1.0 cubic feet
  • warranty: 3 years

Each chamber's dimensions are 12.5"x12.5"xTop Mount Depth 9.75". A 12" sub typically has an 11" cut out, so yes a twelve will work just fine.

When I had this built, I was planning on putting in 2 Alpine Type X 10" Subwoofers.
