If you just want to have a tad lower ride than stock, and a little sportier handling, then sure shocks and springs are fine.
But don't expect to be slammed and have great wheel fitment. Only way you will achieve that is coilovers or airbags.

what do u have in mind? yea that why im leaning more towards coilovers, might save up just a little or if randomly somebody actually sells their setup for a cheap price.

You can get Powered By Max and Stance coilovers both for around 1k.
A decent shock and spring setup will cost you about 700?
And don't forget to set aside $100 so you can get an alignment.

^$50 bucks for alignment if you have hook ups
I'm going to sell my supra tt suspension soon. It drops between 0.5~1 inch
