Hi guys,

I’m currently working on my Ultra Luxury (UL) trim and trying to reattach the rear door quarter window sunshade hook to the door panel.

I’ve successfully removed the rear door panel, but now I am completely stuck on how to remove the red locking wedge that holds the hook in place.

The setup:

• The piece in my hand (shown in the photos) pushes down from the top of the door panel and attaches to the red locking wedge.
  
• The red locking wedge itself sits inside the door panel.
  

I can see there is a friction/retaining tab on the wedge, but I’m not sure which way to push, pull, or slide it to get it to release, and I don't want to snap the plastic.

Has anyone tackled this before? Any tips or tricks on how to slide or release this red wedge without breaking it?

You cannot remove the red locking wedge. AFAIK it is welded.
