Ottocast taking over A MONTH to ship
Can someone with a pre-wireless car play model please reassure me that the Air Plus is worth this complete and utter run around I am getting from Ottocast?
I ordered on 4/17. On 4/27 I wrote to them concerned that I had gotten an order confirmation but no shipping info.
Very nice apologetic reply. “We’ll throw in a 45W charger for the inconvenience, blah blah blah…”
On 4/30 I get a shipping notification but they clearly think I’m stupid because the tracking only says “label created”. Yesterday, 5/4, I email them asking when is this ACTUALLY going to ship? I get a reply saying that it just left the sort facility and can take 10-15 MORE days to get.
FFS… what an unethical way to do business.
But…. I plan on owning the car for many years.
Please tell me the solution is worth it, long term.

I have an older version of the same Ottocast product that I've been using in a MY2022 ES for 3.5 years with no issues. It boots up quickly and the connection has been rock solid. My son converted a Honda to wireless using an Ottocast device. I believe it's called the "mini duo" and he's had no issues in just under a year. We both ordered from a major online vendor. Price was competitive with 2 day delivery. You might consider one of the other Ottocast products from an alternate online vendor for faster delivery and no risk, as they can be returned easily if they don't work for you.

Update
My new, long anticipated, Ottocast Air2Pro arrived today.
Have to say… it is pretty great. Still not pleased that it took 4 full weeks to get here, but at least it connects right away and works as advertised.
I had also bought the right angle USB someone else posted, but the USB-C end has such a large strain relief that it doesn’t really fit in the slot behind the cup holder properly.
I think I may carefully use an exacto knife to trim that back a little, as once it is formed and in that slot, it isn’t coming out as long as I own the car.
