Has anyone figured out a reasonably easy way to change the settings for automatic windows for the 2nd generation ES 330 models?

The owners manual states that the dealer will program the settings for the owner, but only one time at no charge.

We hate the lack of control with the factory auto settings, and also feel that the Auto up feature is unsafe.

it would be nice if the programming settings could be easily modified, or by clipping a wire or two on the master switch located in the driver's door armrest. Removing all four door panels would be much less desirable as a solution. TIA for any suggestions.

I understand that if you disconnect the battery, all is disabled. Then you should be able to reprogram everything EXCEPT the windows. Please other folks, let me know if I am misinformed.
