Recently I’ve gotten a bank one knock sensor code and I got the new knock sensors and new harness which has 2 connections, one for each knock sensor and a connection that plugs into the firewall. The harness that is on there though has 3 wires the 2 knock sensor connectors that are a brown and black wire and a black red striped wire that has a green connector that plugs into something on the starter. Does tgis sound like a jimmy rig or like a previous owner did something weird? I’ve had it for a year without knock sensor codes so it must’ve been working but I can’t find a harness that matches the one that was on there currently.

 

I'm not seeing any harnesses w/ the third wire either. I guess you'll have to open the loom and separate the wires. Could be someone's past repair from rodent damage.

 

That’s factory plug, they only used em for a couple years and now they are discontinued so u can’t get a replacement. So replace the knock sensor plugs.
