Default 2017 LX 570 Multiples Warning Lights and Other Issues-LEMON

Purchased 2017 Lexus in April 2021 with 50000 miles from Northside Lexus in Houston, TX Bought extended warranty-THANK GOD.

The same vehicle now has 130000 miles. I have multiple issues. The warning light for the Throttle Body has come on at least 12-15 times over this time period. I have taken in multiple times and they replaced emission hose once and other times claimed it was the gas cap. Otherwise, they state it is open gas cap?? Possible, but not 12-15 times. They recalibrated the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control a few times. My warning lights read like a NOVEL!!!!!

Had issue with servo motor in AC unit. All shocks have been replace since I have owned it under warranty. This caused issues with leveling system. The front tire was rubbing in right front fender well and there were hemostats found to the supply hose for the washers on the headlights. Probably was in an accident in front and never reported. Did not show up on CARFAX. All 4 wheel nut covers were bad and loose. They replaced these since I purchased vehicle from them even though there were NOT under warranty.

Burns about a quart of oil every 3000 miles. Yes. this is within their guidelines but not acceptable for a LX 570 in my opinion.

Now door handle to passenger driver door is broke!!!!!

I had 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser with ZERO ISSUES. Just changed the oil, tires and battery.

THIS lovable LX 570 has now turned into a nightmare.

If you have any similar stories and/or suggestions, please advise.

Taking it to dealer one more time. If there are any other throttle body warning lights, I am going to trade it in? Not sure what to get. PROBABLY WON'T BE A LX 570. SURELY WILL NOT BE THE TURBO CHARGE LX 600!!!!!!

FRUSTRATED AND PERPLEXED!!!!

Gas caps CAN fail. there is an air valve that needs to work properly, or the tank depressurizes and makes the entire emission system mad at you.

Did they put in a NEW gas cap? That is the (low cost) solution to that potential problem.

They could 'snoke' the EVAP system to see where the leak is (if it's the cap / other places triggering the fault). Y keep on throwing in new parts w/out properly diagnose? Vehicle was likely in an accident prior and likely was not fixed right. As w/ the burning oil, was the oil changed regularly (10k - or even 5k intervals)? Bring it to another dealer if u can, obvoiusly the deal u r at doesn't know what they are doing...

strange that you own the truck for over 70k miles and just noticed the front tire rubs? And All 4 wheel nut covers were bad and loose? Burning a quart of oil every 3k miles - mine is just shy of 120k and barely burns any...I do change oil every 5k 0w20 though .... even my old 2000 E240 barely burns oil too... but I keep up w/ maintenance rigorously for all vehicles I have owned. not sure if that helped... but heard the newer cars like the 911 / audi / MB etc..burn oil like it's 'normal'...and yes a quart every few thousand miles! and that's unacceptable. And door handle broke? How? mine is still in great shape

Oil is one thing. But the throttle body light coming on is a real issue. Has come on 15 times or so in last 3 years. Now, there is all wheel drive lights coming on. Just like your LX 570 which does not burn hardly any oil is very similar to my 2013 Land Cruiser, which was incredibly reliable. I am abandoning ship and buying 2021 LX 570 with about 28000 miles which comes with 2 year unlimited mile warranty and also tagging on another 4 year unlimited mile warranty with Lexus. Undoubtedly, this was just a LEMON. Have to move on....TOO MANY FIXES!!!!!
