I'll be picking up a 2009 IS cluster to put into my 2006 IS350. To do this, I need to set the correct milage on the new cluster. I know that its possible to program it, but does anyone know if its possible to just swap the chip from my original cluster and solder it into the new cluster? Just unsoldering the chip and swapping in my original one would be a ton easier. Anyone know if this is possible?

Does the cluster have an identifiable EEPROM? These threads might help

I swapped the chip in my ES300 as a test it works.
