Default How do I set car for Car Wash

Hi,
I picked up my new NX about a month ago, love the vehicle but noticed when I was waxing it was disgruntled kept beeping at me.
Is there a way to put the car into a car wash mode so it doesn't beep while drying and waxing?

I tried googling and searching the forum threads but couldn't find anything.

Keep the FOB far away from the car.

It does this when hand washing, also. I always assumed it was the water closing the contacts on the door that you touch to lock the car and that there's really nothing that can be done about it.

Yeah I noticed it when I was drying it then again when I was waxing, I thought there might be a way to de activate the sensors some way. Everyone looks at you every time it beeps. I do a hand wash use the car wash pressure and water for rinsing.

Thanks for responding.

Put the fob in sleep mode. While holding the lock button, press unlock 2 times.

To reactive it, press the lock button again.

I just let it beep at me. Hit the "auto" button for the mirrors to keep them from folding in and out each time. But remember to hit it again when you're done.

Try this just once. Get two micro fiber towels: one to apply, one to wipe off/ polish https://optimumcarcare.com/product/o...inse-wash-wax1

If your car is really really dirty, get a buck of clear water and periodically rinse out you Optimum application microfiber towel.

This is easy and quick ( less than 20 minute's, you need a short step stool to reach top of NX)

Good Luck

YMMV,

Thanks I already did a decon and wax with the Turtle Wax to max professional with graphene. Turned out excellent, I used the flex wax as a drying agent. I have a cermic kit but decided to try the turtle wax. I did a 3 level clay machine polish correction on my boxster and cermic coated it turned out excellent, but took me 2 weekends to finish it.

I have ONR and McKees did a test wash on the boxster with mckees and distilled water worked great. I have a IK foam canon coming to do the ONR process with one bucket but a pre treatment.

@AlabamaBlues Sounds like you are already on top of it. I have all my cars ceramic coated and I hate car washes even though I have a really good one ( stationary, cloth strips) I don't use it.

Peace brother and shine on

Thanks yeah I live in europe so cant drag my water hose out. I found a wash rack i can keep the bucket hidden. I may eventually ceramic coat the NX, but that Turtle wax is super slick with the graphen.

I enjoy the detailing process but my body always protest lol you may have seen some youtube videos of a detailer Pan The Oraganizer, excellent detailer channel.
