Day One: Lex arrives at the shop!

This is Lex's engine bay.' This car was bought from a bank's repo lot, I was foretold the engine was blown and here it is. The boys will still do a full strip down to see what the culprit was. Off to find an engine...
Master Mechanic Santiago Gerardo takes posession of Lex. Santiago is a specialist building engines, very meticulous and thorough. The car now will get a spot in the garage and the process of bringing this awesome car back to life begins.
Immediately you can see remnants of mods done to the car which is just downright shameful. Luckily my take will be to bring the car to a Stock + version.
The front bumper and components was a hack job. No grill trim and most of the components were screwed on with bugle screws, which was a pain in the *** for disassembly. Now it's time to pull out the catalog/front diagram and sort out every screw, retainer and clip. The headlamps will be refurbished by local company that includes a ploymer to bring back the crystal-like finish.
The 3GR is mated to the transmission. Unfortunately upon installing the fuel injectors we found a leaky one and another with a brittle connector. The wiring loom connectors are also brittle so will be replacing all of them as well.
We all want "overnight parts from Japan", but I'll have to settle for 72 hrs from Amazon.
These are a couple of parts and bits, fuel injector set, injector connectors, upgraded fuel pump, wheel centers, headlight trim, clips and other goodies.
So now is when I notice that one of the wheels is differente from the rest. Will have to order one of the 18" Velospinner wheels, couldn't find them locally. There is a great deal on them on Amazon. Will wait for it before sending the wheels to get refurbished. Also the fake red Brembo caliper covers must go.
The replacement Velospinner wheel is here! I love this wheel, these are a rare style in the Dominican Republic. This gives me a boost on how beautiful the other 3 wheels will turn out once refurbished. Now to get this paint color.
PS - Original Center Caps came in a previous order.
She's in! The Toyota 3GR-FSE is in! Lex is coming together! Double checking all electrical connections, hoses, and keep finding brittleconnector plugs. Yet all seems so far, so good.
