I see here everyone likes driving their IS 500! I certainly love to drive mine. Try to drive on of the other cars, but cannot help myself. I was curious if I was right in the pack with miles driven so far. So what is your mileage and how long have you had your machine? I am at 6400 miles at 9 months of ownership.

Some of the crew here are up there pretty high (to me),but that's what the car is made for!

I'm at 7,296 right now. Gotta drive home for the holidays so I'll be around 7,450 in a couple days. I've had the car for 18 months now!

5 weeks. +/- 1700 miles. It's my daily and I have a 49 mile round trip commute. I also look for any excuse to drive.

Long distance is the best type of commute for this car. Best mileage.

Bought my LE used with 3,800. Original owner had it from January 2022 to April 2023.

400 miles per week. It’s my daily. I commute from the country into an office 3 days per week, WFH the other 2 days.

Mine is babied and worn out simultaneously! 😂

I work from home, but I’ve reached 16,035k miles after 16 months of ownership. Not only am I in it everyday, I take it up to the mountains regularly. I’m simply addicted to the handling and sound of this car.

It’s not meant to be a garage queen. You will not fully realize its amazingness by pitter-pattering the poor thing around town. The IS 500 likes to RUN! 🥰

That’s what I’m sayin. I’m sure most just have short commutes and it’s hard to find time to drive it enough, but if others are trying to garage-queen it that’s a mistake IMHO. It’s not a collectors car and it’s not going to appreciate, so use it! It’s meant to be a tool, it has a utility— transport and, of course, therapy

I'm jelly over your beautiful mountains! My area of CA is pure ****, I call it the ******* of California lol. Or the nicer term, the armpit of CA. Hotter than the devil's anus and smells just as bad when the wind picks up the dairies. The drivers are dumber than a box of rocks and very dangerous so I appreciate my short commute! I avoid several accidents a day from bad drivers.

My FIL lives at the coast and there is some nicer driving over here, but it is not fast driving. Just scenic. The CHP will get you for anything over 65 on these roads. If you like seeing the ocean you don't really feel the need to gofast anyway 🙂

And I agree, drive those cars! I just saw a 20 year old Corvette for sale with like 4100 miles on it! But of course it has had several leaky seals replaces because it was used so little everything dried out. A car that sits is worse off sometimes.
