so out of all the 3IS lights available right now would you say the 78works V2 are the ones to get at the moment?
I wouldn't say that. The 78works do look nice, and even better with out them on in certain colors with the strips visible. But I was quoted no less than $550 shipped to MD from japan, while the specd off carid.com were $290 delivered and have warranty in the US. I am installing my smoked SpecD today.

Just got my set of smoked red Spec-D lights installed the other day, and I LOVE them! I picked them up on eBay for $400 delivered. Here's a first look. Don't have any pics at night with lights on yet, but I'll try to get some.
Here's a quick video and a night snap. Will take better day time shots tomorrow. Please note, in video trunk is open. Fitment is very good I'm in love with them!
Finally got around to installing these. I give the fit a 8.5/10 (vs OEM 10/10) due to the trunk section being a little too offset high, but all in all not bad.
Had to turn the brightness on my phone way down in order to get these last two pictures to show, they are fairly bright.
