That's where the button to turn of the motion sensor is located in those gs equipped with that option, looks like this:

Yes, it will disable the motion sensor inside the car in case you decide to leave your dog or kid inside the car the alarm doesn't activate.

Ah, that's cool. Reason I asked, since mine is blank, could that button be used for something else? Is it a wired button that has nothing attached to it?

That will be a challenge, because that panel have a 8 pin connector on the back, you will have to test when you press the button what signal it produces on the pins and then bypass the harness to what you need..

If you do that, let me know that will be an interesting project
