Default Is this HID conversion or oem HID

ballast area is secured to the side of the engine compartment

I need to get new bulbs and need to determine if I need D4S or H11. I understand if my car came originally with HIDs I need D4S but if a conversion kit was used I need H11. I bought the car with aftermarket bulbs on so I am not sure if he did the conversion. I read somewhere ANY option on the car comes with HIDs but I do not really trust that

Looks aftermarket to me. The ballast should be installed on the underside of the headlight housing.

As for the bulbs, post a picture of the bulbs so we can see what it looks like.

Oem ballast come attached to headlight.
Best way to make sure what bulb you need is removing the ones you already have in there and matched it.

my car got repaired from a front end accident and the idiots actually threw away my passenger side bulb (which was still good) cause they thought it was bad? makes no sense to me. So basically I don't have a bulb to show since I do not know how to access the driver's side. If it is aftermarket I'll be looking for H11 bulbs then huh?
I have an appt next friday at the dealer for my airbag and I could ask them too to double check, but don't wanna wait a week

I'm thinking it's H11 since it's aftermarket HID. Should be plug n' play.

The bulb you need is D4S. If you look at the label of the connector, it stated D4 IGNITOR. In other hand, H11 has totally different socket connector.

Also, If you on the back of the dust cover, there should be warning label (yellow label - only HID equipment headlight got that label).
