Yeah something went wrong on the shipping platform, it does not generate automatic shipment notification email after I created the label.

Installed the the button today and I'd like to thank Luke for the instructions on switching out the button. Go slowly because it is to easy break the little tabs.

The light bleed is not bad at all. I think those that have the 2IS with their green light behind it, is worse. The white light looks perfect.

Difficulty level - from 1 to 10, I would rage its difficulty level to Level 5
Time needed - 30 mins - 60 mins
Tool needed - cell phone repair kit is recommended (I use a flat screw driver from a cell phone repair kit)

First of all, we need to remove the unit from the car. Please refer to this video on removing the whole unit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xkzOzb1KEA

First of all, we need to remove the bezel of the unit. Slide your flat screw driver in and rotate, then your bezel will pop out easily.

Once the bezel is poped out, you will see 3 of these clips holding the start button unit. Un-clip them and push the unit out, be extremely careful with this step as you might damage the clips (I did crack one of them but seems just fine holding the unit together)

Once the start button unit is popped out, you will see 3 clips holding the start button covers, do the same thing, un-clip them and push using your screw driver to pop it out.

Once it's popped out, install the new start button cover and put everything back.
Hey gutg, recently installed the start button cover. I tried this method but for some reason push button assembly wouldn't pull out. So, as a last resort I tried a small flat head screw driver to get under the bezel, then dragged it GENTLY to pop it up. Than used a small flat head with slight bent tip to get inside the gap between start button cover and assembly and pulled it up. I used the depth of my F logo cover to estimate how deep to go to dig it out and it popped off without problem. Go show, go soft.
