I think you may be on to something there.

There are a million reasons I would pass on this car, but one of the main ones is because the upholstery. It was so bad it had to be recovered, which totally goes along with your theory.

Just wanted to provide an update: I sent the notarized forms off today to Royal Palm Toyota to have the Title transferred from Florida to North Carolina. I hope to schedule the shipping sometime early next week and if all goes well receive the car in 3-5 days. I'll post pics once I have it washed and vacuumed

Delivery with uShip.com is booked! The car should be delivered in 7-10 days.
I've also ordered the "twist" SC430 Center Caps from eBay to replace the "plate" on the wheels.

Got the car today, here are the pics! Just got back from dinner downtown where we got valet and it was awesome. This car gets a lot of attention! And it's faster than I thought. I also got the twist center caps today but didn't have time to put them on (will do that soon). Needless to say, it was a perfect night (75 degrees here in Raleigh) and the car is a blast to drive around with the top down. The Mark Levinson system rocks!!! Now, the question is what to do about that antenna lol. I will drop the car off to Johnson Lexus this week for a complete checkup. Anyway, thanks for everyone's guidance and I'm glad to be part of this forum.

Delivery from uShip.com arrives!

After a wash / wax (even did the tail pipes)

The interior (going to use Leather conditioner on the seats tomorrow)

Parked in the garage (my 1999 GS400 is officially kicked out lol). We're a 3 Lexus family now

I did take the day off! haha. Here are some more pics. This car is so much fun!! I'm looking for reasons to drive it now.

Today I got the wheel caps on and leather seats conditioned

The engine bay...timing belt changed in 2015. Checked the oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, radiator level all looks good.

Here is a pic from underneath. This is one clean car to have 104,000 miles!! Definitely due to the Florida weather I'm sure.

One more of the rear struts. They look like they were both changed recently.
