LOL, the car will be even more pristine if you don't drive it

The beading looks great. Kidding aside, are you serious about not using the wipers?

There was a time I did this in my LS400 (before the magic of auto wipers) by treating it with rain-x religiously. By the time you hit 30mph, water rolls right off.
The 430 and 460/600 have a baked-on coating (titanium somewhozits) so I no longer use Rain-X.

That coating in the 430 and the 460 is not on the windshield FYI, just the side windows.

Yes. I'm dead serious. Rubber or not wipers totally cut into the glass on any windshield. I prefer to just treat my cars so that it never becomes an issue. And if it's that bad I just park and wait it out.

Here's a BMW that I had to decontaminate, seal and wax recently. Car is 6 months old. Can you imagine what the glass will look like in a couple of years? Nuts.

Here's my LS430 that I drove for 10 years before selling it last year. You can see the rain mist build up on the glass and paint very evenly due to all the treatments I use on my cars.

Never noticed actually. My windshields on the 430 and now 460 still beaded really well and never get a smooth (blinding) film of water covering them like the 400 did.
Maybe I'll treat it and see what it's like with together (or without) auto wipers.

Spring has sprung!

Dr Jekyl - Those 430's still look darn good to me. I would have had a hard time letting go of yours.

JXW - My wheels and car is very much like yours. Except mine is Smokey Granite Mica and deeper tint on the windows ... and not an F-Sport. I may upgrade to a 14 or 15 F-Sport in a couple years.

I need to get a picture of it in the daylight.

Wow, that's amazing, Dr. J! This is the first I have ever heard of folks not using wipers to avoid damage to the glass. Are you concerned that the micro abrasions from using wipers will reduce visibility or create glare at night? I need to read up on this issue.

Mmmmm, which is nuttier, waiting out the rain to not use wipers or not waxing and sealing the windshield to minimize "damage"? Be well, Dr. J!

Your car is beautiful. Love that color.

FYI his isn't an F Sport either, he added the badges. No "F Sport" prior to 2013.

Interesting. But I won't do that. It is what it is IMHO.

Yeah I'm not a fan of adding badges for things the car doesn't have.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures when I installed them. Installation is not hard and doesn't take long but getting it to the height I wanted took many adjustments . I spent about an hour and a half making adjustments. Changing the height on one corner also changed the heights on the other sides. Only 10 bolts have to be taken off to install the new links but one bolt on each side has to be taken off each time an adjustment has to be made. Install and adjustments can be done without jacking up the car or taking the wheels off. Lowering can also be done with the factory links, I just bought the links cause I had an amazon gift card. The links are $129 on amazon. PM me if you need the factory service manual for the suspension link adjustment.

I bought this for my wife in Dallas a couple years ago. Really a great price. LS 460L. She loves it!!!!! The extra room in the backseat is amazing.
