Kind of off topic, but do you have a recommendation for what brand of transparent vinyl to use? I'm looking for transparent red and smoke to modify the tail lights.

No clue about vinyl. I do know our old vinyl guy would mention these three brands though for what its worth, Avery, 3M, and Oracal.

No personal experience with any vinyl products unfortunately.

It's going to depend on the brand and type of tire. Some tires run wider than others, etc.

I know some Supra guys would run up to a 315 on the stock 17's which was also a 9.5" rear wheel. You'll obviously have more bulge of the tire the wider you go.

No worries, I just thought I'd ask.

I know those 3 brands are popular for car wraps. I originally looked at avery since I can get their products at cost, but it looks like Oracal is the only one that sells transparent vinyl.

Bad news: It looks like neither Suntek or Xpel software has a pre-cut headlight kit for the SC. Most vehicles have it so I was surprised to see nothing for these cars.

Good news: I can cut off some film off a bulk roll at work and ship you the material to apply on there and just custom cut it with a blade or utility knife (same thing you'd have to do with LaminX). The shape of the SC lights is pretty easy, all you'd need is to give the film a good stretch where necessary, squeege it down all the way and trim off any excess material.

If you don't already have a utility knife, Lowes has some Olfa knives and replacement blades similar to what we use at the shop. I am sure other department stores will have similar products as well.

Quick demo on how it's done with a bulk sheet of film:

Let me know and I can get it for you on Monday/Tuesday
Roman, I'll take you up on this. Let me know when you're ready to send the film out and I'll get you the address!
i can send you money for the cost of the material too!!

What an awesome resto.. loving the rsp.. quick question on your wheels as i'm in the hunt myself. it's kinda hard to tell but is the lip of the rim flush with the fender or just barely sitting inside the wheel well? i think i'm going to try and do an 18x10 +35 and i think that would sit very close to flush if not flush on a 10" wheel. also what size are you running on the front and would you have any shots of the front wheel setup? tia!!!

an 18x10 +35 should fit.... mine is just inside the fender but my fender is rolled. I didn't order front wheels yet because i was debating using the 18x9.5 for front and 18x11 rear... still debating. have to take some measurements. If i don't use the 18x9.5 for front, i'll go 18x8.5 +35 for front with a 245/40/18

Thanks Craig! It's definitely transformed for sure! Can't wait to get the rest of it back together and get it outside for a proper photo shoot.

I would run the 9.5's in the front and get 11's or 10.5's in the rear. If you want to stick with those 285's then a 11 + 38 or higher or 10.5 + 32 or higher would be ideal.
