I was looking around and couldnt seem to find anyone with the smoked spec-d tail led tail lights installed. They are only 285 on carid.com and I just wanted to see what they looked like installed. If anyone has the tinted spec-d tail lights let me know!

 

I'd probably go with the non tinted and have them sprayed or vinyled that way you can go back if you don't like it.. I love my spec-d tails though, I paid 400 about a year ago for them and would buy them again

 

Do yours have a black border like some of the others I've seen posted?

 

Yeah, I bought mine on eBay but are the same as on carid, all the listings do not show the black border but they all have it

Thank you so much! So mad I didn't see this prior, not sure how I skipped over it as I only saw the photoshopped one. I am getting my red ones in Monday and was going to smoke them with vinyl, so now I'll try to order the smoked ones and send red back.. Much appreciated!

 

For anyone interested. I ordered both sets of SpecD in red and red smoke.
I was wanting a deeper red, possibly even darker than OEM, but the "smoke" finish looked 95% black on specd's site. I ordered red and was going to vinyl overlay them, but decided to risk it and get both since the return policy was pretty lenient. Pretty happy with the smoked color.
Will seal them up just in case and update with installed pics soon.

The Smoked ones look amazing! I was leaning towards the red ones cause the black seemed a little too rice for my taste but the dark red looks spectacular. Pics after installation please

 

Just an update for anyone interested in the smoked Spec D's. I am happy with them and install wasn't too difficult though did take about 2 hours total because I wanted to be sure to not short anything out and I kept switching between the paper and YouTube installs and my trunk was packed with car parts lol. Tough to show in pics but they are gorgeous. The smoked may be a bit dark in non direct sunlight conditions, but looks perfect with them on which is how I drive 99% of the time anyways.
