I just got seat covers and need to remove the headrest from 1998 LS400 with powered headrest. I read from some post to get the headrest all they way up, then push down on the round plastic base of the headrest but that didn't work. Can anyone help? I've searched all over but could not locate an answer. Thanks.
Thanks aptoslexus! This is what I was afraid of. I don't think I will be able to remove the hog rings without ripping or damaging something. I guess I need to figure another way to install the seat cover.
Just to note that the 98+ had seat deployed side air bags. Placing a seat cover over the seat will alter the air bag deployment unless the cover allows for this.
In order to access those 2 clips, you need to remove the back panel first. Those photos at the 4th row may help you to remove it although things are all written in Japanese. There are 2 hidden screws under the seat. http://celsiorup.com/custom20/2075_beastsonic301cb3.htm
