Honestly, I thought it was worth it. It definitely had more of a horsepower gain than just an exhaust installation. But combined (headers and exhaust), my initial impression of the F became that of contentment. I feel that these two elements, and this was before the tune was developed, really unlocked considerable power on the F across the entire powerband. It will definitely be louder, even with cats, but IMO you cannot go wrong. I know I gained around 30-40 hp. And after dynoing a few months ago with full bolt ons and the tune, I am quite content with the performance upgrades. Now it's just fine tuning it for the track...
If the cost of getting the headers is the issue, why not get the RR racing tune. After the tune, with the stock headers ,1st and second gear spin with the Bridgstone RE71R
275 wide tires.
Tell me about your experience with the tune but no headers. I've been very interested to find someone with this set up.
Is it mainly just a gain in top end power? How much did they charge you for the install if you don't mind me asking?
.
My friend is a master mechanic at Acura he charge me $400 8 hours at $50 but he did it at his house on his lift with his tools, and it took him a whole week since he was doing after work and was taking his time
note that you need to buy new 02 sensors and manifold gaskets to be on the safe side
Has anyone noticed extra buzzing in the interior after header install?? RedlineA Had some after . I got a little buzz inside the headliner in the winter after JZ exhaust install .
I am very curious on how big of a difference it does compared to gutted stock headers? My car with the RR-RACING tune did 433whp with gutted headers....I wonder if it was ppe headers or the newly redesigned sikky headerst, would it add any more WHP?
Another reason to consider going headers might be less apparent. The factory manifolds have a defect that concentrates heat pre-cat at the rear exhaust port. Here is a picture of ours during install of the Long tube EL headers.
Its a substantial mod and does liven up the response of the car. So far our AFR is pretty spot on with no tuning and our EL single out exhaust.
Having a lift is extremely helpful when navigating around the propped subrame and I personally found teh dipstick to be the biggest bogey since the 10mm head has no great approach to remove it.
We offer the complete line of PPE products and have been instrumental in supporting the platform and adding value during troubleshooting, spare parts and installation pre and post sales. We also have a tested motor mount solution when using the EL headers should you want to go that route. If there is anything we can do to earn you business we would love the opportunity.

with EL headers cabin will have less drone than even stock headers, EL also lower drone than UEL header set up.
worth it just for drone relief.
my Joe z wasnt so bad
ISS QES had very pronounced drone, thankfully MUCH LESS now.
I just finished installing my PPE Equal Length Headers to complete the Apexi cat back exhaust I installed last June. The header's definitely make the car quite a bit louder, but sounds awesome. I live in a very "bouchy" neighborhood and I leave for work at all hours of the day and night. My car pretty much wakes up the neighborhood with a cold start at 2 AM. Lots more vibration throughout my garage now too which just adds to the sound. But I absolutely love it. The motor seems to Rev alot quicker and I can easily spin the tires now too. I'm very much satisfied with my full exhaust swap. Looks great, sounds great. I'm just working on getting rid of the CEL that I have since installing the header's m
