Those tires absorbed quite a bit to minimize damage.

That ring taxi video, I was screaming at him to slow down a couple of times, didn't think they were going to make it through a couple of those corners lol. Also amazing is how he just FLEW by everybody else in that video. Also I forgot how many blind corners there are on the Nurburging

The Farnbacher RC F team took 2nd in class and 16th overall in this last weekend's VLN race, even with some fuel line issues that saw them start from the pits. Really good stuff, and the RC F GT3 program is really starting to take shape.

Tires and grass = terrible traction.
You can see the debris kick up, upon impact.
Had he turn a bit sooner, he wouldn't dance on the ring.

Nah, that was an unexperienced driving overcooking the heck out of a turn and completely off line. Do you think a balanced car always goes tail first when limits are exceeded?

This wreck actually looks a bit like a balanced car exceeding traction at a given arc and speed.

For the last time, the RC F actually drives quiet nicely and the limits are the limits. One could easily set the RC F up to have over steer, but that would not likely change the car's tire's limits in a corner of any type or increase lateral Gs and entry and exit speed for 99.8% (perhaps 2 in a 1000) of the driving population.

In fact, the vast majority of the driving public (and perhaps all on here) would be quicker in the RC F as currently set up as novice and intermediate drivers would be apt to throttle oversteer the car even in its current form and even after they learn basic car control and using the throttle to balance and control the arc.

No helmets and in the rain. Ice water in those veins and bit fricken crazy given all of the unpredictable and moving speed bumps present. Love it though. The RCF is a very capable car, especially in the hands of someone that has a bit of a clue.

RE: Understeer

Jeremy Clarkson's off road adventure was purposeful. He completely intended that result and would have to actually try to get the car to do that. So easy. I can make ANY car understeer. Once the car understeers, one can easily exacerbate it by simply giving more throttle and turning sharper. Throttle decreasing front grip through weight transfer and turning sharper, as opposed to gentle small repeated widening corrections, will further decrease front grip causing the car to plow straight forward. This can be done in any car and Clarkson did it on purpose because he was annoyed.
