Post Anyone swap out their grill yet?

I was wondering if anyone has upgraded or swapped out their factory grill? I'd love to upgrade to the 2013 grill, but that would require the bumper to be replaced as well. Here is a picture of the grill I am thinking about. Feel free to give me your opinion on this particular grill. Thanks everyone!

It might be hard to find, but there was a thread where that grill was purchased and installed. It has some very nice photos in it.

EDIT: found one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ille-work.html

I've seen the grills on CARid. They have a few nice ones including the one you posted. The dealers around me install them over the existing grill. They're ok from a distance but definitely strange close up. I'd go for a true change.

What color is your RX?

Hey Anita! It's the Smoky Granite Mica (dark gray).

The one in your post would probably work well with Smoky Granite Mica. No overly blingy yet enough to be noticed. The Black Ice Heavy Mesh Grill is also nice for a more subtle look. Don't get the SES Trims® - Chromed Stainless Steel Mesh Grille. I think it's on an RX I've passed on occasion. The emblem looks like it's on 'roids, LOL! Definitely not flattering. I say go for the mesh grill. It'll give your RX some uniqueness.

It looks like a downgrade....from a Lexus to a Chrysler.
But in the end, if you are happy with it, then go for it.

Thanks Anita & Mark! If they come out with a grill similar to this grill below, without the bumper tie in, I will be a happy camper!

MEP: It states that the grill is unpainted. Would you leave it as is? Or would you try to get chrome added to it?

I went to that link again, and it is showing 4 options:
1. For 350/270 No Paint
2. Type B Brand Painted
3. Type C
4. for 450h Gun Metallic paining type

* 1st 2 options look the same, 3 & 4 also look the same. *

If anyone here has installed this gril on their RX, please post pics if you can. Thanks in advance!

I am thinking of swapping my base grill out for the F sport grill. Has anyone done that?

Anyone on the forum upgrade their grill to one that looks similar to the 2013/2014 grill? I think it is safe to say no one has taken the plunge to do the entire front end. That said, still curious to know if that 1% is out there. Thanks in advance everyone.

Hopefully someone will make an aftermarket F Sport and standard 2013/2014 grill. Lexus made it a little harder to replicate since the new grill ties into the bumper.
