Next Thursday (3-1-01) I will have a chance to wring out the new SC430 somewhere in Arizona and see what she's made of. This two-day road test will be seen at www.familycar.com as soon as I get it written.

Anyone have any questions that you want me to pose to the Lexus brass? They're usually closed-mouthed about future plans, but technical questions are fine.

How long will the stereo last in the Lexus? Was it done on purpose? After market Pioneer CD changers last much longer, this is a Lexus not a Ford Focus.

Power steering pump question? Did they fix it yet?

Is there a power trunk on the SC 430?

How much room as compare to the present SC 400?

How good is the GPS (maps/directions)?

 

If its possible....could you ask if there are plans for a 3.0L version or a manual transmission in the works. Thanks!
