fs: PS3 60GB w/ 5 games
I got a rare PS3 60GB for sale. If you don't know this is the only system the Sony made that is fully backwards compatible for PS2 and PS1 games. I have 5 games ( call of duty 3, call of duty 4, GTA4 w/ strategy guide, need for speed prostreet, ncca 09 football) and 1 remote. Comes with box but don't have the receipt anymore.
Asking $500 obo
edit: forgot to add also includes the HD component cable (y,g,b cables)

Not splitting hairs, but all ps3's are BC except the 40gb. The 60 was the only one that did it with hardware instead of software.
(it works better than the others do though, so it's a good thing). Software emulation is choppy and picky so the hardware in the 60 is worth the investment.

^ thanks for the info. My friend has the 40 so I just "assumed" the 80 was the same. Does the 80gb has the front loading door for SD cards as well? I was thinking only the 60gb had that as well. I know the 60gb are very sought after on ebay so once again I assumed it was the only one with these features.
Darkknight, Ive had it about 1 1/2 years. Used it more for a blue ray player than for games so I am just going to buy a blueray player. I will have no use for the games without the PS3 so I want to sell them together.

hardware emotion engines had the best quality and played pretty much EVERY ps2/ps game. the later software based emotion engine was as OLT noted, choppy and laggy, and had limited compatibility.
ALL the new PS3s rolling off the line have ZERO (0!!) backwards compatibility as sony has eliminated the emotion engine all together.
basically, ONLY the 1st run 20/60gb had the hardware emotion engines, the later 60/80 had software emotion engines, and the new 80/160gb and old 40gb have NO emotion engine
easiest way to tell is that basically every system that IS in some way at least backwards compatible had 4 USB ports, and every one that isn't has only 2.
that's why the old 60gb command a price premium.
