Default Finally had a chance to mount my snow wheels and tires on the F

Here are some pictures I took of my winter setup. Ordered from Tire Rack a few weeks ago and just had the chance to get them on my car today. These are 225-40-19's all around with a non staggered setup Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25's. Hopefully they do what they're supposed to! I like the look of my stock wheels better. Guess I'll have to wait until next spring to swap them back.

I did go to Lexus to have them add the 2nd set of TMPS to my car's system. Tire Rack had installed them but they needed to be registered with the car. After a quick stop off to the dealership I was able to get them registered.

Pretty nice for a winter setup. I agree though, the stockers look a lot better.

The old one's match the car better and look far more aggressive. I'm so used to seeing it dark. Now it's a light colored wheel on black. Oh well. Just changed to these for safety reasons here in the northeast. My friend from NJ called me today and said it snowed a little this morning.

Not bad Nick, it could be MUCH worse for a winter setup!

Thanks guys. I actually just drove about 200 miles on them. I had to drive from RI to Princeton, NJ today. Being snow tires, I drove really easy. I was surprised to have only used just over half a tank of fuel to get down here. I found this a bit odd, but perhaps with the colder air and me just cruising along in 8th gear, my oil temp actually dropped to 2 bars. Normally I see it at 3 bars.

D2-Autosport, I think I may want a set of wheels like Cathafers that she showed in her teaser post If you could PM me a price on those so I can think of a summer set that would be great. Do they accommodate Lexus TPMS?

Looks nice! I was thinking about 18s if I do a full winter setup, but looking at your pics the 19s may be the way to go.

Are these the wheels you got?:

Yes!! these were the wheels I bought. I went with the same size all around because I'd rather have a tire width for the snow. I've been caught up in snow before and didn't want to take my chances with a wider tire in the rear. As for fitment wise, the 19's fit great. I compared the widths of tires between the 19" and 18" sizes they offered and they were the same. That's why I went with 19"'s. Price wise it was economical as well considering these are not my year round wheels.

Off topic pic but thought it was neat. Here's a picture I took at Cannon Beach OR. I was there this weekend and it was beautiful there. Now I'm back to the Northeast and actually saw some snow! Oh well. Guess I'll look at the picture to warm up.

OK check this comparison out.

Top setup are 18" TR Motorsports wheels (these are not available in 19"), the look is pretty darn close to our stock rims. Decent look and the 18s would be nice to have for potholes.

Bottom setup is identical to ngl's, the 19" Sport Edition KV5 wheel. I like these wheels a lot actually, and 19s keep the aggressive look going.

When you add it all up the 18" setup is about $300 more. Take a look, what'dya think?
