Question Finding what Brand is installed so I can order a Remote?

I have 2004 RX330 CPO. I thought this thing between my mirror and my radar detector was stock, but know that we ruled that out from the other forum section I have decided to repost it in the after market section.

So the device reads PART NO: 11B1128 and FCC ID: ELVNRCA

did a google and it came to: Code Alarm Replacement Antenna w/3-Pin Plug-In Cable

URL
http://autoalarmpro.com/inc/sdetail/3477

I found this other URL http://documents.audiovox.com/701129.pdf it is sometype of Audiovox

and I think its a remote starter.

Does anyone know how I can find the exact model? And order a remote for it?
Whats this?

Does anyone know where the remote start system are usually installed so I can order a remote for it by finding the manufacture?

Thanks

take off the underdash on the car and look at the unit. it will say the model number. then get a remote.

http://webappshttp.voxdmz.audiovox.c...angId=-1&desc=

CA420A
Single Buttom Remote Start System

the antenna looks like this unit, but not sure as the image is to small. The only other model with the similar antenna comes with a Alarm which does not make sense since the car came with one. Thoughts?

antennas on most units of same brand look the same. for example: Clifford, Rattler, Python, Viper is all made by DEI. DEI has only 3 variations of the antenna across their entire product line. what im basically saying is that you dont know what you have until you take off the bottom of the dash, or at least get under there, and check for a small box with a lot of wires. lol. very simple explanation but im too tired to type right now. to take the lower dash on the RX is pretty easy. all you need is a phillips screw driver and a 10mm socket. maybe a flat head too.

When you are less tired could you please post instruction on how to do it . Thanks, I never been under the dash, or even changed oil. lol, but I would really like to be able to do this myself and impress people (girl friend) if you know what I mean.

Thanks

Should be pretty simple to see once you have the lower dash panel off. You'll be looking for a black box that is probably zip tied to some other part of the wire harness or dash and will have a lot of wire going into it. Should have a heckuva harness and look out of place where everything else will either be mounted to the firewall or have a nice bracket.
If you bought it CPO I would think the dealer could call whoever traded it in and get the details of it for you. Little easier than banging around on your own.
