You are mistaken about almost everything you've said. I would only agree that they can look better. I have been tracking my cars for 15 years, and I haven't experienced a BBK yet that didn't have trade-offs. I know for sure that I would never consider one on a street car unless they were paying me.

What trade offs would that be?. I dont have any personal experiences with BBK's but all my friends that have them and DD their cars have had no problems what so ever with them. Everything worked and performed like it was suppost too.

Gernby, would you then suggest IS250 owners to find IS350 brakes and use them as an upgradable method for a DD instead of a BBK?

I wouldn't feel much better about going with IS350 brakes either unless I was also upgrading all the other hardware and electronics with it. The tradeoffs that I'm talking about would be different for every application. Worst case senario is that you put big brakes on the front only that aren't "matched" to the rest of the system. The cylinder area of the front calipers would most likely be larger, so the brake bias would be shifted even more to the front than it already is (added even more to the increased bias from larger front pads and larger diameter disks). It would also increase brake pedal travel due to the larger front piston volume (less responsive and "squishy"). ABS won't work as well for the same reasons, and depending on your driving style ... the brake pad temperatures probably won't be optimum for street use so they might dust more and / or squeal.

I guess that since the ISX50 has such a better braking system than i am used too (comming from DSM's lol) that maybe i dont need to upgrade the brakes. I wanted to do it merely for cosmetic reasons because ill be getting new rims soon and would like to fill the area behind the rim up.

Yep, unless you track the car where you experience brake fade you very likely won't see any benefit from upgraded brakes other than cosmetics.

Plus you need to take into account that with many big brake kits you're going to need new high-disk fittment wheels that clear them, or use spacers.

I'd personally wait for the Stoptechs to get their setup correct... I think they're a better setup for the $$ compared to Brembos. I have a Brembo GT 355mm setup on my GS, but its more for show presence than any performance advantage. I've gone from 1) stock to 2) upgraded stock (synthetic fluids, stainless steel lines, upgraded pads) to 3) Supra TT calipers / rotors + upgrades to 4) the Brembo GT setup + upgrades. Honestly they all stop about the same, it's just the pedal feel and brake fade (both issues on the 2GS) that are improved. Big brakes are also typically much noisier than OEM, especially with drilled and / or slotted rotors.

I've only had the Endless BBK so I can't speak for any other brand but they were slotted and I never noticed any noise from them.

I got AWD and i'm liking the stock brakes a lot.

The stock pads are dusty as hell (550 miles and the wheels are almost black) so I'm gonna switch to EBC Red stuff.

If I still wanna upgrade my brakes, I'd go for pedal feel first with SS lines and Motul DOT 4 fluid.

Then when it's time to replace the rotors, I'll put up slotted rotors from either company.
