AFS Headlamps and Lowered Suspension
I heard that if I want my car lowered I shouldn't get the AFS Headlamps...
Well just how far can my car be lowered before my AFS starts acting up?
Or is this not true?
Thanks in advance

This is only a problem if the installer knocks the AFS sensor out of alignment. It's an easy fix if this happens.
Apparently it's too hard for Lexus of Portland to figure out! They told me it could not be fixed. If anyone has actually fixed it themselves and knows the process, please let me know before I smash a hole in my dash from that annoying *** light!
Tell them to read the information on page LI-259 through LI-264 in the Lighting/Height Control Sensor section for the 2006 IS350 on TIS. It describes installation of the height sensors used for the AFS. No doubt they botched the installation when they lowered the car.

As I said, it's in the service manual. Pages LI-259 to LI-264. Any dealer can fix it, just point them to the right place in the book. You don't need a "magic tuner" to get it right, and the book even describes how the sensor should be set at neutral height, so there's no guess work.

not sure if that's the same bolt as the 3gs...

If you want to fix it right, you need to have the sensor arm at the middle of its range when the car is neutral - empty and at normal ride height (wherever that happens to be after the suspension adjustment). Slamming it to either end will not get it right, and your headlight aim could be very wrong.
