You have to pull somewhat hard. Juts make sure you’re pulling from the side closer to the inside of the car away from the windshield. Look at the picture. Pull from the red marks, stick your hand between the sealing and the dome light against the front and out at the same time.

I would get the dome light replacement if it has sunglasses compartment like last gen IS. SOS button is such a waste of space, I don’t even think anyone subscribe to this service.
