You'll have to put up some pics of that one too. I actually like these tough old buzzards (that generation of the Cherokee platform - stove pot six). Unstoppable in winter. Lots of dollars to keep fixing and crude sounds from that inline motor. Tough as concrete nails.
Save the Lexus for highway trips and go off road with the Jeep. The Grand Cherokee got too fancy to be off roading. 4Runner is the alternative.
That's my ls430 it is not your typical is build at all my build is in the ls section under Sterling ls430 for some reason it won't let me post the link to my build at all.

That's actually why I purchased the jeep was for the harsh winters we have in upstate NY.
Dude if that thing ran/drove for $500, you are way ahead of the game. Anything SUV or truck that runs/drives for $500 really doesn't exist where I live, especially if its 4wd. You might find a running/driving 1995 Cavalier/Dodge Neon or something similar for $500 where I live, its not going to pass emissions, and who the hell wants a 20 year old Dodge Neon anyways lol.

exactly!!!
the thing is 17 years old too - you get what you pay for!
so paid $500 then "flushed all fluids, did thermostat and housing gasket, valve cover gasket, front pinion seal, all of the u joints the yoke and ball for the rear of the front drive shaft near the transfer case, air filter, brakes, a.c. delete plate"
how much did all that cost just for parts??? then time???

I believe it was like $800 in parts and I think like a collective of 3 days of me hammering it out I was not trying to sound like an jackass I was just complaining to complain. I hope it works great in the snow that's the reason I wanted it and when I went to go get it the guy wanted $1500 intially and i talked him down.

Tennessee, Nashville to be specific. Everything here has gotten expensive in the past few years, real estate, beer, used cars.
But yeah, I've been down the $500 car rabbit hole. By the time I had my truck sorted with a new clutch and some other stuff it was a $1400 truck, not the $600 I paid for it.
