It doesn't claim to do anything, Its a replacement part. Its the main pulley that connected to the crank shaft that runs the rest of your pulleys. After time the rubber in the pulley can get hard and fail (like the photo below). If this happens while driving ,its really bad news.
I did a engine swap on my car and I ordered the new one but they sent me one for the V8 and not for the 2JZ. So I don't really have any use for it
It is a OEM TOYOTA part not TRD
