Default WTB : SC430 exhaust tips

Hi all, I'm chasing a pair of SC430 tips in the best condition I can reasonably expect for second hand items.

Would any of you have upgraded, and have a pair for sale ?

If not, I don't suppose you could provide me with indicative pricing on purchasing them new ?

Many thanks.

Edit : Forgot - I'm in Australia

Default Clarification

In hindsight, I guess I'm not surprised - it's probably unlikely that this would be an item that frequently comes up for sale.

FWIW - this information is not on this forum as far as my search revealed - the part numbers for these are :

17408 50030
17408 50040

I do have one request - could any of you fine gentlemen/ladies please duck out briefly and tell me what the exact measurements are of these tips ? I am looking to fit them onto a 2.5" diameter outlet muffler, and to flow with the rear cutouts on my '97 Soarer rear bar. I believe they're 3.5" outlets, but I'm not certain about the ID. Any confirmation would be most appreciated.

What makes you think these tips will be a direct fit onto ur 97 sc?

The diameter of the both rear end pipe after the muffler is 2.25" and then flare out to about 3", so it can clip on inside the stock exhaust tip. Plus you also need to weld a tiny metal piece on the pipe for this tip to screw on.

The inlet & outlet of the SC430 exhaust tip is around 4".
They cost you about $100 each from Lexus dealer.

It will be easier and cheaper to get Borla or MagnaFlow tips and weld them on.

Default Thanks !

Talwang, thanks for the detailed reply

My Soarer no longer has stock mufflers (almost no longer stock anything, really; that's the price of ~ 500rwhp); I neglected to mention this directly, but alluded to it by talking about 2.5" piping They are unlikely to fit straight on; hence the need to weld them on. The flare from 2.25" to 3" sounds fine.

4" outlets are exactly what I'm after; and if it costs that much per tip, well, perhaps I'll just have to wait and save up a bit more. FYI, dealers here want US$125 per tip.

Thanks again for the detailed info.

You're a champ, mate ! That was how I'd hoped it'd look

I'm a patient man, don't worry But at some point, my desire for that look is going to overwhelm me and force me to visit the dealer hehehe ...

I'll give it a bit more time though
