Default Urgent! 2004 SC430 full carpet replacement

My SC has been in an upholstery shop for about 2 months. Seats, armrests, console, seatbelts, etc…. They had planned to do the carpet from flat carpet stock and are having issues due to the “bathtub” shape necessary for proper installation. They were trying to avoid buying the molded Lexus carpet sets and thought that it would be less costly to fabricate themselves. They are now rethinking that decision and trying to buy new carpet sets (black) through Lexus with no luck. The old carpet is fine but it’s ecru/beige. They have dyed it but I’m not biting over potential bleeding and longevity concerns. Does anyone know anything that can help me out, I just want my car back.

Why isn't dying acceptable? If done right, dye shouldn't bleed, and should be good for the long haul. As long as they aren't charging the same as buying new carpet from Lexus, I would go for it!

They sent me this and a couple other pics today and I think that the contrast on all of the black accents looks awesome! I just have no experience whatsoever with dying. I’m apprehensive at best. I’m literally NEVER going to sell this car so everything has to be right.
