Default 90K repairs

Hi folks,
Need some advice pls. My parents' 06 SC is at 90K, the last major maintenance they did at the Lexus dealer was the 60k once and they don't remember exactly what was done...
Anyway, I recall reading that at 90K it's recommended to do the TB/WP, and thermostat change, is that correct? IF yes, anything else that I should ask the dealer to do?

Also, one of the TPMS sensors died. I have Techstream to confirm this. I would replace all 4 sensors at this point, however, it seems that it's something the dealer should do since it entails removing the tire, and can't be done at home, correct?

Would appreciate your help folks, thank you!

If you go to Lexus.com and go to owners and enter the VIN you can find out what the dealer did to the car at the 60K mark. Yes, the timing belt should be done at this point if it has not been done yet. The batteries in the TPMS sensors are dying and they should all be replaced. The dealer can do this, but I would not go that route only because of the price. Buy the sensors yourself and you can have any tire dealer you trust put them in and program them yourself with Techstream.

Regarding the TPMS's

What is the DOT code on the tires? How old are they? How close are you of needing new tires? If you are needing new tires than I would just buy the 4 TPMS's on e-bay and have the tire shop install them when/if you need new tires because I am guessing it is going to cost you $100-110 bucks to get all 4 tires demounted and re-balanced then just take it home and reprogram using your Techstream.

You can check out Costco or Discount Tire for the TPS replacements and expect to pay somewhere between $15 to $25 per wheel. I too recommend not going the dealer route to replace them. You will be shocked at how much they will charge for parts and labor. BTW, it only takes about 15 minutes to register all 4 TPS and that includes set up.

For my '06, I purchased 4 TPMS sensors at Rock Auto and had my local Lexus dealer install and program them. (My dealer didn't stock the ones for the '06 so they were fine with installing my supplied parts.)

I didn't have Techstream back then. Having Techstream now, I'd have a local tire shop install them and program them myself.
