Alpine iLX-W650 is having connectivity issues with Android Auto, for multiple cell phone brands. The unit requires a USB connection in addition to BlueTooth. The Alpine-supplied USB extension cable is pegged as a culprit by many--even a company website video mentions replacing it. However, many people find no improvement with a new cable plugged directly into the USB port. The 12/19 firmware update did not address the problem. My problematic phones are: Moto x-4 and G7.
