just bought a 04 pebble beach. First SC really love it. Previous owner had installed alpine ilx-207 head unit which works great including cover which goes up and down. The navigation screen will tilt but cover is stuck in up position. As I’m not using this screen is there any way to manually lower the navigation cover for a better looking dash

I had the same issue and when I had the stock radio replaced recently, I had him test to see if it was the motor and get the NAVIGATION cover to come down and leave it down as the new radio has AA and AC.

 

I think you can simply pull it down. My navigation was disabled when a new stereo was installed and I can push on the cover to open it and close it.
