I agree if you got to take a hit let it be in someone else's car.

Guys

I just got my SC back after the airbag and
I notice someone opened the top because
the back tray was pulled opened.

I know they got gas for the SC and I am wondering
if a “ Lexus Gas guy “ opened the top when getting
gas at the dealership or it was the technician who
had to test the top (?) while putting in the new airbag.

Just make sure you check everything before you
pick up your SC.

By the back tray do you mean the luggage compartment rollup cover in the trunk? They might very well have checked the top. I had brought along a smaller cooler when I took the SC over to Tulsa to pick up some lamb and cheese at Costco. But then I brought the NX home and then Thursday when I got the SC home I noticed the luggage compartment rollup was extended out and ready for top down operations. I don't remember rolling up the cover as I was planning on taking the SC home with the cooler in the trunk that day.

They test drove it with the top down, just for fun.

Ouch, that sucks. Hope they don't jack your rates up. Years ago a friend had to caugh up $6500 over a deer as they did not have full coverage. They are dangerous.

My 06 was just picked up and is being taken to Flow Lexus in Greensboro NC for the second air bag recall. If you complain like I did Lexus will pick it up and deliver it back to you.

Default No Complaining Here

Lexus of Tulsa would have brought my SC back to me but I choose to go get it and trade the 5 hours of their drivers time for my 65K service. It worked out great for both of us. I don't like to complain to much, Lexus of Tulsa has always been very good to me and treated me right on both my LS 460L and the SC 430 besides complaining takes way to much effort.

I will someday own an LS460, even if it is not the L. I found one (Deep Sea Mica!) but the wifey says, no not yet. Maybe in 2 years, the countdown begins.

Our 2010 LS 460L is the Deep Sea Mica Blue and it is very sharp. When I park it away from everyone in a parking lot I always feel the need to turn around as I am walking away and admire what a beautiful car it is.

I’m wondering if I will get the notice for the second airbag recall. The first one was done in Oct 2015. Does anyone had the first recall after that date and got the second notice?

I just had the 2nd recall done last week. I did buy my SC after you a year ago next week I think. My son's 05 SC had the 1st airbag recall done in Nov of 2017 and his is not involved in the 2nd recall..
