I have a 2004 Lexus SC430. The volume control has failed on the ML, both on the radio and steering wheel. It's at the last setting and can no longer be adjusted. Can I fix? If not, where to go? I live in Orange County, CA. Thx

 

I would suggest that you first use the "Search Forums" option. Select Threads-advanced. Type Volume Control in the Keywords Box. Go down to the bottom right in the "Search in Forums" section and pull down SC430-2nd Gen (2001-2010). The reason I point this out is that I could swear I saw something about this in the forum in one of the 40 something pages of information I have been able to get through so far and when I pulled a search there is a LOT of different threads that come up. So you may spend awhile reading but you will also be learning. I truly wish I could be more specific but I just don't remember where it was at right now and don't have the time to go through all of the possible threads that appear in the search. Someone else may be better at the search feature than me that can narrow it down for you. Good luck. If there is still no help come back and I will dig into it deeper regarding possible replacement options.

It sounds like you are having an amplifier problem.

You can get yours repaired, but most people opt to buy a used one off eBay. Or they use this as a good point to go with an aftermarket system with newer technology.
