Update/Upgrade Navigation Screen
Good Afternoon
I have a 2002 SC430 that has lived its life in South Florida and it appears that the heat and humidity kind of takes a toll on the electronics down here.
First the Tilt Function on the NAV Screen quit and I gave up trying to fix that but now the NAV screen has died. I have a bid dead area on the screen sot it is essentially worthless.
I can only guess that the combination of age and heat down here finally killed it.
I have been watching eBay and there seems to be a bunch of these available for the 2002-2005 models but if my assumption that age and heat caused it's untimely death I would like to get the newest one available.
That is when I noticed that there are some available from the 2006 up style.
I read a post from RetroPlay and it seems like there may be a way to retrofit the newer version into my 2002.
Has anyone tried this yet?

I saw a youtube video (
) with the caption, "2006 Lexus SC430 Navigation upgrade with iPhone and backup", that might be of interest to you.
This is a company out of Jacksonville Fl that worked on the conversion, it sounds like what you want to do.
Hope it helps
