Interesting thread from the LS430 forum that also applies to our engines. I noticed a slight improvement in my idle smoothness after cleaning mine. It was not particularly dirty but I used WD-40 as others and thourghly spraying both sides of the valve. Careful if your vacuum hoses are old and brittle. Takes just a few minutes to complete.
