Default Navigation face panel

Sc430 2002. The navigation system works fine. The facing “glass”? Panel seems to have a million “cracks” in it. I am looking for a replacement glass. Anybody know a fix where I do not disturb the integrity of the open/close of the wood cover panel? Thanks

I am afraid it is not as simple as replacing the glass. I have not heard of this complaint before. Worst case the whole LCD screen will have to be replaced, that means the panel that tilts.

There was a member who also had the same problem. His screen developed spider webs. I can’t remember what did ho do to fix it, or didn’t he?

This was my screen when I purchased my 2002. I think it’s from excessive heat and the NAV door stuck open...door would not close.
the Florida sun is rough.

the Lexus dealer is mostly correct.
its easier to replace the entire unit but some one here replaced only the screen...not an easy task.
are you willing to spend $300-$400 to correct this problem?

just the screen or the entire NAV unit?

if it’s just the screen, we hope you can help someone else by posting pictures along with information about the screen.
there is a ClubLexus sponsor who repairs the NAV screens.

Any follow up as to your screen replacement? Can you provide information on the supplier of the screen? Was your installer able to replace the screen without too much trouble?
Thanks
