Default Replacement flex cables for our climate controls

So, I have been messing about with climate controls recently, and after encountering several broken flex cables, I finally looked up replacement parts and thought others might benefit from it.

It is a 100MM, 1MM pitch, 12 conductor FPC cable with same side contacts. Wurth sells these through Mouser for $3.80 a piece. The climate control uses two of them.

This is the flex cable that goes between the main board and the front panel of the climate control. You can get a Molex version at 127MM for $1.99 a piece.

I haven't ordered them yet, but an FPC is an FPC is an FPC.

The longer version, despite being cheaper might actually help reduce the stress on these cables a bit so they last longer.

I have ordered some of the 127MM cables for an upcoming project. I will let you all know how they work out.

Perfect replacement. They are a little more flexible than the OEM cables, but that is probably a good thing. The stiffness is probably why they crack. This is the 127MM version. The extra length should help reduce stress on the cables as well.
