Lexus sc430

Looking to purchase a lexus sc430. Are there any model years that are more problematic than others? Is there any history of issues with the retracting hard top? Thanks!

2002-2005 version 1.
2006-2009 midcycle refresh, cosmetic upgrades, new transmission
2010 final year - electronics upgrades only 300 made.

Thanks for that overview. Very helpful. So I'm new to the forum. Where do I find and how do I access the "sticky notes"?

when you selected the SC430 forum, the first seven or so threads are sticky, so they’re stuck at the top.
