First get yourself a pair of D4S bulbs. I have included the link to the Philips bulb that is the OEM. I mean exactly what came out of my 06. I think Lexus wants over $200 per bulb for this. You can get others that have different color temperatures if you like. There are a couple of ways to change the bulb. I have small hands and was able to do it from inside the engine compartment. I did remove the air box for the passenger side. It is tight. Others have pulled back the fender liner and gone in from that side. It is not easy either way. I think there have been threads posted with pictures for the DIY. I am sure someone will provide the link.

Those Philips 4300Ks are a great option for replacing your D4S bulbs - 4300K is going to give you the most output and those are basically just the stock bulbs. If you're interested in those other colour options, however, we've got a handful of different D4S HID Bulbs you can look at. The D4S Philips Xtreme Vision Gen2 (4800K) and D4S Osram CBI Bulbs (5500-6000K) are both designed to give more output than their higher colour temperature would normally allow, so they have output comparable to the stock 4300K bulbs, but generally the higher you go with the colour rating the less useable light you will get out of them.

D4S Osram Xenarc CBI bulbs: 3200 lumens
D4S Philips Ultinon 6000K bulbs: 2500 lumens
D4S Philips X-treme Vision gen2: lumen rating not available but I would say in the 3000-3200 range
D4S Philips 4300k bulbs: 3200 lumens

Hi,
Are thes bulbs sold in pairs? I am considering these 2 as you mentioned: possible replacements:
D2S PHILIPS X-TREME VISION GEN2 HID BULBS
D2S - OSRAM XENARC 66240 CBI HID BULBS
What would you go with?
Thanks
Bob

Both of those options are sold in pairs. I would go with the Philps XtremeVision Gen2's myself, but I like the whiter tone to the light (those are rated 4800K). The Osram CBIs are very popular items, though, and have that crisper white with a bit of blue.
